At what age is Nutrimexx Pylomed Mini safe for children?

Limosilactobacillus reuteri (formerly Lactobacillus reuteri) is among the bacterial species recommended by EFSA for the QPS approach. QPS means “Qualified Presumption of Safety”: a presumption of safety subject to specific conditions that helps simplify microbial safety assessment. It is not a blanket safety guarantee for every finished product or every age group.
DSM 17648 identifies a specific strain of this species. Pylopass® is an ingredient made from this strain containing inactivated, non-viable bacterial cells; the ingredient supplier classifies it as a postbiotic.
A published study of DSM 17648 included children and adolescents aged 9–17. It investigated a specific preparation and treatment regimens, not Pylomed Mini as a finished product. It does not establish general age suitability or demonstrate safety for children under 9. Follow the packaging instructions; a suspected or confirmed H. pylori infection requires medical assessment.
